Rose of Tralee, Dr. Jennifer Byrne, to present Saint Patrick's Day Prizes at 2018 Presentation Night.
27th February 2018
As preparations continue for this year's Tullamore St. Patrick's Day Parade it has been confirmed that the Rose Of Tralee, Dr. Jennifer Byrne, will attend the Presentation Night in the Bridge House to present the prizes to the many category winners in this year's Parade.
"We are delighted that the Rose of Tralee has agreed to attend our Presentation Night to present prizes to the winners in the 2018 Parade. There is always a great level of competition in the various categories but this will make the competition even keener this year. We have a large group of entries for this year's Parade with many new and exciting entries also" states Sean O' Brien, Parade Secretary/PRO.
The Theme for this year's Parade is "Highlighting the excellent services and support provided by Offaly Hospice and Offaly Dochas". We are asking all groups to reflect this theme in their entry. A representative of each of these two groups will officially cut the ribbon to start the Parade and they will also be honoured with a seat on the Review Stand as Grand Marshalls.
The Parade starts at 11.30am sharp. The assembly point is the Car Park of the Bridge House Shopping Centre and all groups are asked to be there by 10.45am. Face Painting will be offered free by Playtown Tullamore at the rear entrance to the Shopping Centre, beside the Cinema. Playtown Tullamore members will also provide entertainment with members dressed in fun costumes and handing out sweets to the younger onlookers.
Commercial entries are welcome and they should assemble in Kilcruttin, opposite the Railway Station.
A steward will be there to direct them.
