For Floats

For Floats

  • The Parade starts at 11.30 a.m. sharp. on Sunday 17th March in Tullamore.
  • Floats assembly is the Car Park of the Bridge Centre Shopping Centre; we are asking groups to be there between 10.30 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. so that we are ready to start at 11.30 a.m.
  • Please Submit your Entry Details before the parade
  • Please note the different starting points for community, non-commercial entries, large vehicle floats and business entries.
  • The Official Meeting Point for Community, non-Commercial Parade Entries is the Bridge Shopping Centre Car Park.
  • All Business Entries / Non Decorated Floats will assemble at Kilcruttin, opposite the Railway Station.
  • If a group has a large vehicle / float as part of their entry, this vehicle will have to line up in Cormac Street. This is due to the roadworks taking place in High Street which will restrict turning onto High Street from the Bridge Centre.
  • Please don't dispose of any litter in the car park
  • The Parade Committee members and Parade Stewards will be on hand to direct you into position with your float.

  • The route is High Street, Bridge Street, Colmcille Street, over the Kilbeggan Bridge and onto Arden Road.
  • Sweets can be handed out, but not thrown
  • No promotional fliers or paper to be handed out.

  • Floats should continue over the Kilbeggan Bridge, and finish at the Tullamore GAA Centre.
  • Please note that groups are not allowed to drop out before the GAA Centre on Arden Road for health and safety reasons; please do not drop out before or immediately after the Kilbeggan Bridge.
