GREAT PRIZES FOR ENTRANTS IN TULLAMORE ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE

There will be a big range of prizes for entrants in this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade in Tullamore; the prizes will be presented as a special Presentation Night on Friday 31st March.

"Great prizes will be presented to the winners of the various categories in the Parade.  In addition to special Plaques all community and sporting winners will receive a cash prize of €100.   The Prize Categories are Overall Winner, Best Youth Entry, School, Sport, Band, Business, Community, Most Entertaining, Best Dressed Dog, Best Window Display" states Sean O' Brien, Parade Secretary.

Local Businesses are reminded to plan their Window Display, this will be judged during St. Patrick's week.   Dog owners are very welcome to enter the Parade with their pets in a special section from which the Best Dressed Dog prize will be selected.

The Parade takes place on Friday 17th March starting at 11.30 a.m. sharp.   Entertainment will start at the Review Stand at 11.00 a.m., there is usually a big crowd gathered here so come early to get a good vantage point.  There will be a special area reserved for wheelchair users and elderly viewers opposite the Review Stand.   The Parade route is High St., Bridge St., Colmcille St., over the Kilbeggan Bridge onto Arden Road and finishing at the GAA Centre.   Entries are not allowed to finish before the GAA Centre for health and safety reasons.

The Assembly point is the Car Park of the Bridge Centre and entries are advised to be there by 11.00 a.m. at the latest.

The popular Face Painters will be located at the front entrance to the Bridge Centre and outside the Bank Of Ireland.   This is a free service.
